Founded in 2007, the Online Marketing Institute partnered with then Wharton’s Interactive Media Initiative and Princeton Review’s renowned educator, Jacob Schiff to set out to educate new and established professionals on the known truths and best practices of digital marketing. Starting with industry-leading certification programs to teach, validate and enable digital marketing excellence through the industry’s most credible and widely known educators, OMI became the de facto standard for digital marketing credentials.
Today, OMI has educated more individuals on digital marketing than any other organization, including 5,000+ students worldwide, industry-leading agencies and consultants and teams for many of the Fortune 500, not to mention hundreds of smaller organizations.

The Institute is known for both its breadth and depth of content and digital expertise in hosting over 100 instructors covering every topic (from email to social media), at every level (beginner to advanced) for every business type (SMB, agency, global enterprise), on every continent (save Antarctica) in over 70 cities worldwide. It offers easy access to highly relevant content that is updated weekly (five to 10 new classes recorded every week) from our award-winning eLearning Library with hundreds upon hundreds of classes to choose from.
OMI training not only helped our New Social Media team accelerate our corporate wide initiative to standardize social practices; it also enabled us to create new winning digital marketing strategies. The training was a really great turning point for us.
