Editor's Note: Victoria Feder is the CEO of Online Marketing Institute. Today she joins us in a letter to faithful readers and newcomers alike, announcing our exciting site redesign and new initiatives.
Today, I am excited to share the news of our website launch. Since taking over the Online Marketing Institute almost two years ago, I’ve had big plans for this company. Over the last year, my team and I have been hard at work behind the scenes, revitalizing our brand, website and our entire suite of learning products. Our new site includes a brand new library of classes designed for adult learners, to teach individuals and organizations the latest digital marketing skills and strategies online.
I think it’s important for you to know a bit about me, as I commit myself to your continued success, and as OMI enters this new phase of company growth. In the last twenty years I have spent time in consulting and operating roles in marketing, education, and technology. I have seen colleagues and clients struggle to keep up with a growing pace of change. This experience confirmed my belief in our need to always be learning, reading and training to keep up with the most relevant information, to stay competitive and to lead.
Over the same span of time, I have noticed a shift in the way our work-life culture is evolving. For better or for worse, work and personal hours are becoming more demanding and more intertwined. We’re also more mobile than ever before, and mobility has become critical. With the increase of content at our fingertips, adult attention spans have decreased precipitously. These trends make traditional training approaches less effective and less economical.
Fortunately, the growth of eLearning technology has made it possible to readily address the need for mobility, accessibility, quality, relevance and practicality and I’ve made it my mission to make these a priority at OMI.
OMI has focused on digital marketing, and only digital marketing since 2007. And now, we’ve honed our craft and updated our approaches to meet the needs of a 21st century learner. We’re still the masters we’ve always been, maintaining our focus on digital marketing and its application throughout the organization.
While other eLearning players are using this opportunity to create hours of content in an effort to display breadth and depth of coverage, OMI is focused on quality over quantity. Of course, we’re dedicated to always keeping our finger on the pulse and producing new classes in the latest digital marketing trends, to keep learners up to date. We will continue to produce classes and interviews with leading CMOs and consultants to bring you thought leadership.
That's why I am delighted to showcase our new website. The new website is mobile-ready, intuitive and above all, built with you, the learner in mind. It allows professionals like you to more easily locate classes and resources in digital marketing that address your knowledge gaps.
Our new classes are created in partnership with digital experts and instructional designers who know how adults learn and retain information, tailored specifically to our learning content. We are now applying the latest adult educational training philosophy to everything we produce, to strengthen the efficacy of each and every class. We’ve created new certifications in the latest digital marketing areas, as well as industry-specific series to ensure we are serving our learners across the board.
I’m also particularly proud of our new Master Class series with leading CMOs who provide inspirational, aspirational and applicable tips for professionals aiming for a career in marketing. New Master Classes on Digital Transformation and Becoming Agile will arrive in 2018 as well. And with all of these enhancements, we’ve revisited our pricing model to ensure we’re more competitive than ever before.
And that’s not all. The knowledge gap spans both the enterprise and the individual learner, and so, I am especially excited to have launched a new, white-label enterprise portal which is customized for medium- and large-enterprise training programs. Our Learning Management System (LMS) is easily linked to other online learning management systems and can include "off-the-shelf" and custom classes. OMI provides consulting to create customized learning programs that address knowledge gaps, and we build communications programs that build internal engagement.
For both enterprise and individual professionals, OMI is focused on delivering learning that drives results. We’re excited for you to see what we’ve been up to.
